This beautiful seven passenger Clipper was produced right after World War 2 though it was designed prior to. The smooth, sleek styling of the last significantly new Packard before the United States entered World War II was fresh and innovative. It is a truly legendary vehicle that stands on its own merit in any setting. All it takes is one ride to experience the reaction of other motorists and you will understand.

Until 1955, almost all Packard's had a flat head straight eight engine.  They were famous for their smoothness and quietness.  You can balance a nickel on its edge on the valve cover of a running Packard  Straight Eight if properly tuned.  Lorraine has 356 cubic inch flat head straight eight with hydraulic valve lifters.  

The transmission is a three speed manual with over-drive.  The shifter is mounted on the steering column.
